MEET ANGELA!
I am definitely a child who has followed in the footsteps... What does that mean you wonder? Well, I come from a family chock full of certified teachers, substitute teachers, gifted teacher coordinators, & principals. Despite wanting a career in business when I entered college, I discovered that my passion has been education. I guess it is in the blood.
I am very happy about the position that the district has created. Technology is an ever changing and emerging field in many areas, especially in education. I hope to bring new knowledge to help and/or remind teachers of ways that they can introduce or enhance technology into the classroom. I am a very open chatty person, so please do not hesitate to ask questions, or let me know if there is anything that you would like to see posted. Let's get to work!
I am happily married, and a mother of two energetic girls. My husband and I make our home in Lake County. In the past I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 6th grade in the state of Illinois. I attended Hampton University in Virginia where I received a B.A. in English Literature. I am also a graduate from Bradley University with a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction, and a teaching certification of K-9. At the end of this year, I will have a second Masters in Educational Technology. Some of my favorite pastimes are reading on my Kindle Fire, eating ice cream, watching soap operas-sorry it's my thing-and surfing the web for cool tech ideas. I hope to share some of them personally, and here with you!
