IN FULL SWING!
The year has been progressing, and we are now in full swing of the year!
As the technology integration specialist, I am part of the Teaching and Learning Department. I've come up with a short list to help understand what I can be available to help you with, and the difference between the Technology Department. This is listed below.
One part of my long term goals will be to introduce a technology framework such as the Substitution Augmentation Modification Redefinition model (SAMR) and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) model to staff.
Technology framework models such as, Subsitution Augmentation Modification Redefinition model (SAMR) and the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge model (TPACK) are useful when considering how to successfully integrate technology into the classroom. These models place curriculum content at the forefront of teachers' thinking and allow for technology to be integrated with existing teaching practices. This ensures that technology is not the focus but, rather how the technology fits into the curriculum to meet student needs. To learn more, please be sure to check out the curriculum page on this site.
Thanks so much to those that have filled out the Needs Assessment Survey so far! If you haven't done so yet, please complete as soon as possible. Your responses are greatly appreciated, and will help the direction of the school year.
